Yellowstone National Park
 
There are hundreds of small and large geysers and hot springs inside the park. This area west of Yellowstone Lake is called West Thumb Geyser Basin because it juts out from the main body of lake like a thumb on the map. A very large thumb, indeed. In fact, it looks like a swollen thumb that's been hit by a hammer.
